Blivit part 2

Well we stripped the forms off yesterday. Came out just right.

First photo shows what the forms looked like. Second shows what the hole looked like when we got back to work yesterday after a long weekend....

Here are a couple more of the tank center after it was stripped. Needless to say all the rebar made stripping the shelf off a tedious job. (lots of small pieces.)

This center will be the base support for the skimmer on a 55' diameter tank. tank walls will be 15' tall.

The hard part was building the forms so everything was monolythic. So the center cone had to be supportedtotally by the outside with no center support. It also had to be breced so as not to float when the laborers vibrated it. The anchor bolts are 1 1/4" dia.x18" long. (stainless steel)

LOL, It will be the center of a 55' round tank at a water filtration plant. Heavies will settle to the bottom, forming a sludge and be pumped through the pipe to settling ponds.

Blivit. LOL. My old Dutch friend will enjoy that when I tell him, he is the one who relayed that phrase to me. Interesting job.
