Roy Scheider Passes Away
Chief Brody from Jaws has died at 75. Cause unknown but I know he has been ill with cancer for some time. He had some great roles......French Connection was another one but Jaws was the best! RIP Roy.

Too bad. That film (jaws) will always keep him famous though.

You get to watch movies in science class? That must make it a little easier to wake up early and drag yourself out in the freezing weather.
Jaws is my all time favorite flick. Lots of great acting in that movie, and lots of memorable quotes. Roy Scheider played that role perfectly. I may have to watch Jaws or Blue Thunder tonight.

Brody: [Drunk] I'm tellin' ya, the crime rate in New York'll kill you. There's so many problems, you never feel like you're accomplishing anything. Violence, rip-offs, muggings... kids can't leave the house - you gotta walk them to school. But in Amity one man can make a difference. In twenty-five years, there's never been a shooting or a murder in this town.
Hooper: Fascinating. Want a pretzel?
I thought he was great in All That Jazz. Should have won best actor.
Movie Facts:
He was originally cast as Michael (Robert DeNiro's role) in The Deer Hunter, the second movie of a three-movie deal with Universal Studios. However, bound by a Universal contract to make a Jaws sequel, he was deprived of the role. In 1979, four years after he appeared in Jaws, he was nominated for his second Academy Award, this time as Best Actor in All That Jazz.
He was the original choice to play John Rambo in the 1982 film, First Blood, but the part eventually went to Sylvester Stallone.[citation needed] In 1983,
