It always interests me to see the varying opinions on this topic which truly run the enitre spectrum from minimalist to extreme. The fact that we all catch fish with these varying methods drives home the point there is no right or wrong, IMO. I use a snap, either Coastlock or Crosslock and never use a split ring to attach to a plug, but will with certain tins.
