How colde is it?
It's colde enough that the commuter boats have stopped running from Quincy to Boston because of ice. Waiting for the Ice Breakers...
It's colde enough that the Nantucket Ferry might be all boxed in as they wait for CG Ice Breakers.
It's colde enough that Clammer's boat was one of two I saw down near the docks - last week there was a dozen.
I's FrIeKiN COLD E Out there!
... but just last night when I was outside, I got warmed up by the thought that just 11 months ago I was sneaking over to a hold over spot catching schoolies, getting my gear ready, enjoying early signs of longer days. I was warm with anticipation for a new season to begin!

clammer, if you need to do any engine or hull work we could just flip her up on the ice.......................... and do it without having to lean over.
Any open water in the upper bay? I have a plug I need to test.

School closed in Warwick today??????????
You've heard it before, but you could end up spending your life feeding a machine in some dingy factory if you don't finish school.

Wow, that sucks. there goes my only employment.
I will never work in a Mickey D's unless i am owner of the whole chain (maybe for a summer job for young teens, but when you see someone who is like 30 working there it's just SAD) i know toooo many people in many lines of work to be sittin' doing nothing. thanks for looking out though
Once again- CRANSTON (were we have gold chains and stuff) not warwick....
Everyone is roudy today must be cause it's a friday

Went skating on a fw pond yesterday...8+" thick, walked over to one of the salt ponds... 6" thick. A few boats iced in pretty good. Normally it is pretty mild here...woke up to 8 degrees. (was in VT over the weekend...how about -14! The next day it warmed up to +18 and it felt like a heat wave!)
Saw the weather channel...it could be worse, -58 deg F in Mongolia, even if it warmed up 100 deg you would still need a jacket! (global warming my ass)
Thinking warm thoughts: I just made ferry res to bring over the new boat in april. Spring will eventually come.

Sorry, Cranston.....................
Not that I'm rowdy just looking out. We have about a hundred people here feeding machines round the clock. It's a living but it ain't a life.
