Let's Help Out Guys

As many of you know Raven has been having quite the downward spiral lately and it hasn't gotten any better for him. Many of us here (including myself) don't know him personally but do enjoy his photoshop antics and conversation on this board, I am fairly new to the board and haven't been here for years as many of you have and I've seen you guys reach out to help other members in trouble before. Maybe you builders could sacrifice a few plugs in the classified and forward the funds over to him or even though times are hard everywhere maybe some members could send a few bucks, it all adds up.

Anyone who's ever owned a dog knows that they are mans best friend and depend on us for everything from food and shelter to kindness and affection, our pets give us so much joy and they ask for nothing in return but our attention. I don't make plugs that I could sell but I can offer a few bucks to help the man and his dog out and I hope many of you on this site will too.

I was going to buy a new rod but the ones I have still catch fish and this money is more useful here so I'll start this out with $100.00 and hope more can contribute to help out a fellow member and his dog, any amount will help and will be deeply appreciated I'm sure.

Thanks guys and tight lines!

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.

I was thinking the same thing after his last PM to me yesterday. Felt I had to do something to help him out. Craig is truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. I will match your your contribution. You want me to send it to you so you can gather it up and send to him?

Yup, count me in for a contribution to The Star Fund.

Someone just post an address. And maybe for any of those who might want to send a check, how to make payable to...

I don't have any spare cash, but I will paint up a few "special" plugs this week and put them up for auction! I will post the auction items when finished! Raven is A-O-K with me......and I am after all a dog lover!

This would be better served in the main forum also......so if a mod could place it there.....that might be great!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I'm pulling an inventory and seeing if I have any gear worth selling for a good contribution. If not I can sneak some loot by old hawkeye if I'm careful enough.

you guys are so awesome

i am overwhelmed with emotion

today's the Wife's Birthday and
we are just trying to cope with
taking care of our little Star-zy
as she's (becki's ) fond of calling her...

and i'm trying to get out and plant potatoes
and broccoli today... while she's home
since it's gonna rain for the next two weeks.

here's a Narley pic of her injury
and as i mentioned on the "skinned alive"
post she's had to go thru the surgery twice now
and hopefully this one will heal up better.

we thank you very much for your support
and kindness from the bottom of our hearts.

Hi guys I just wanted to post this quick note about where to send the funds being donated to Raven, he's opening up a paypal account and should have access to it after Monday so the funds will go directly to him there. The paypal information will be posted here as soon as it's available and thanks for joining in and helping out.

Raven, I saw the pics you posted of Star, one word of caution about the shirt ... good idea on using the shirt to keep her from getting at the area but definately switch to a plain white t-shirt, the dye from that shirt could start something up you don't want to happen.

Tight lines to one and all.

Post pay pal account

as per Teasers recommendation

i set up a pay pal account for those of you
who would like to help Becki and i .. with
Stars medical expenses

not sure exactly how it works
but the email address i used for
the verified pay pal account is

countryraven@gmail.com

basically we had to say
SCREW the mortgage for April

we're saving our dog... even if we loose the farm
the medical expenses are now approaching $2000

and they collect them up front before they'll even look at your
injured animal....

and a heartfelt thanks to all ..... for your contributions
the first surgery failed
the second one seems to be working -thank god...

your lovable dog "is" your surrogate child

I'll keep an eye out for the auction items the next few days. How does the paypal thing work? I can't even imagine the horror of having to deal with that type of injury, it is a blessing she is still here. She is one strong dog. Let's all pray she makes a strong recovery with no complications.

.
Noted and good Point Steve... these are really old ,washed a hundred times shirts but we will go find three white ones just in case.

i change them and wash them every three hours in rotation.
the discharge of fluids...*drainage ...is becoming less and less
instead of more and more like from the first operation...
and thats a very good sign... the stretchy tube sock bandage the vet gave us wasn't doing the job so we had to improvise

i'm just learning about PAY pal myself John...
basically you set up the free account
they deposit two small amounts in your bank account
less than 25 cents
then you verify those amounts and the account is all set up

then you have a third party "safe way" to transfer funds
by clicking my on email address

i hear ya my brother.................

i think that i found one last year on the way to Sachuest, last summer.

fortunately, all that it cost me was a new tire on my fishmobile, still sucked that it was invisible until i "found it" with my tire. there certainly should be a better way to indicate them sharp bastages!!! why not a flag, or paint, or roped off?

All our best to Star and Becki and you, m'man!!

SurfHog

My name is Bob and in January I purchased SurfHog Lure Co. I would like to donate some new products to help out Raven. The new products are some new flavors. First is the 8.5" Codnary eel, it is canary yellow and flavored with cod liver oil. The second is an 8.5" natural eel also flavored with cod liver oil. These are both brand new and not available anywhere else. Please start bidding or IM me as to where to send them. Please excuse the pics, my camera has weak batteries and I could not find any new ones. BossHog

Rav,

I just sent my donuts over via paypal, also sent PM's about the auction. Get back to me when you have a chance and let me know what's cooking.

How's the little girl today? Good news about the draining slowing down, that means it's healing up good. Keep up the good work your doing for her, she'll thank you for it later you'll see! Just don't let her rush it and open that back up.

Talk to you later.

Raven just asked me to explain how paypal works to send the funds to him so I'll post it here to make it easier for those who haven't done it before.

1. copy his paypal address and put it in the recipient name area on paypal.
2. click the service of goods button.
3. put in the amount in the box that you want to donate.
4. click the way you want the method of payment to be made from, as in paypal balance or through a credit card, etc...
5. click the send button and that's it ... payment sent.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.
