This weekend is the MBBA Spring Meet at Scussett Beach...

Event runs Fri afternoon through Sunday afternoon and is free to all MBBA members and MSBA members that show their membership cards on Sat will be admitted as guests

Free entrance to park, Free camping in designated area and Free activities all weekend

Highlights
Sat is the busy day...Sat afternoon is the 25 cent Raw Bar & Hot Dog Fundraiser......Raffles galore pulled Sat afternoon and Sunday at end of event...Sat Pm there is a Dance and good time with DJ under the Tent...Kids events all weekend...Annual Meeting Sat 1pm

Casting events on both Sat afternoon (including MSBA vs MBBA Stan Gibbs Memorial Cast Off) and Sunday morning (Adult MBBA Casting Tournament with separate divisions for conventional and spinning plus the Charlie Murat Open)...Sat dnner is a catered $8 southern BBQ Who is going?

Great time for all members to come get involved and for non members to come check things out.

All beach reps will be in attendance so you can find out what is going on at your beach as well

MBBA'S 58th ANNUAL Spring Meet


I would officially like to welcome all members new and old to our 58th Annual Spring Meet to be held at
Scusset Beach State Park on the weekend of May 16th,17th and 18th.

We are looking for a good crowd this year. As you all know this is the first of our Annual Business meetings,
club bylaws state we need 100 people to attend the annual meeting to make a quorum.

There are many great things planned this year, and I will list a few of the events planned for;
first on Saturday, our Meet coincides with Gov. Deval Patricks Park Appreciation Day.

We will conduct a small CONSERVATION PROJECT. The time for this IMPORTANT EVENT
will be listed in your Spring Meet Itinerary. This is a great opportunity to show our STATE REPS
how strongly we believe in Conservation and cooperation with our State Park System.

The GENERAL BUSINESS MEETING will be held at 2PM in the center circle,
during this time the KIDS GAMES will begin!

Following the MEETING, the MBBA / MSBA Interclub Casting Tournament will be held,
So Please go over to the casting field to support and cheer on our CASTING TEAM MEMBERS!

A Big Change this year at 5PM, I have planned a BBQ DINNER, With all the fixings Including,
PULLED PORK & CHICKEN, CORN ON THE COB, SMASHED POTATOES and MORE!

As always there will Be HOTDOGS and CHILI, and the RAW BAR.

Raffle Drawings for ADULTS & JUNIORS will be held FOLLOWING DINNER,
then DANCING UNDER THE TENTS with OUR NEW DJ for the rest of the evening.

As always there will be more raffles and plenty of EVENTS for the KIDS & ADULTS.
This years GRAND RAFFLE includes, 2 HALF DAY CHARTERS, a complete GRILL ASSEMBLY
like the one used to cook at the clean ups, and more!

I look forward to seeing everyone there, and let’s have a GREAT TIME.

Also on SUNDAY at the Conservation Awards presentation is the Drawing for the FUEL CARDS.

Remember you must make 3 cleanups for a ticket and get 1 ticket for each cleanup made.

So increase your chances and get involved in as many cleanups as possible as they are always
a GREAT time to be at.

Scusset State Park will open to all members at 3:00 pm, unless you are previously scheduled to help with set-up operations. Please Do Not Arrive Before This Time.


5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Membership Secretary Availability will be announced.


Everyone participating in Spring Meet must have an MBBA VEHICLE Sticker in the Window at all Times. Everyone who is current with their dues will receive a Mirror Tag and their Bag of Goodies at the check in point in the CENTER CIRCLE with the Membership Secretary. Limit one bag per Family. Everyone who is not current with their dues can renew at the check in point. Visitors of families (and I assume MSBA card carrying guests)participating at Spring Meet will receive a Blue Mirror Tag, along with a Schedule of Events.

All Junior Members will sign in at the Junior Raffle Table located in the Center Circle on Saturday morning starting at 9:00AM to receive their Goodie Bag.
