3 nice size bass

riding on my bike an fishing the canal i bumped into 3 fishing friends , as i watched an talked to them,i c one hook up and land a 40 inch bass. so i move east, but not to far, up to the next good looking formed rip, but close enouph too watch the boys in action.in 2-3 hrs i c several nice fish landed . me to w/ 1 about 34in . in the end they leave w/ 3 bass 40 to 41 in long . i also c one at the rips same size, all fish were caught on what else.....bucktails ,tins ,skins or rubbers ....pick one and have at it ....i ve noticed one thing .. when theres no herrin around the real fisherman come out of hiding.....i like it that way....

CANAL ACTION

The past few days the action has been great, no small fish everything was a keeper and most were hitting top water and that as you know is great action. I did jig and that produced some good sized fish, but using a top water plug was the way to go.

Lot of fishermen there these past few days so I can only immagine how many will be there today and tomorrow.

Yup. Best set of tides of the year, most every year. I am exhausted. Saw so many members there this week. Like a home coming. Just saw a few here and there today. I got skunked but didn't care.

Paul we missed you at the harbor, it was ok, 10-20 lbs but the good thing = no rats.
