Cuttyhunk: Two Open Spots for the June 13-15 S-B trip

Cuttyhunk: Two Open Spots for the June 13-15 S-B trip.

Friday Night & Saturday Night, staying at the Historic Cuttyhunk Fishing Club http://www.striped-bass.com/fishing/...g-history.html

This is a fishing weekend (not a boozin' weekend). Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

We have a good group going over and have lots of great trip every time we go.

I've had a few PMs asking about cost:

100.00 per night plus tax and tip, 35.00 each way for ferry. Figure 50 for food. Bring your Eels or Plugs.

We have a Food list going on with who is bringing what over to Cuttyhunk for the weekend. We typically eat like Kings. We have a great time.

Allow me to rephrase perhaps, it is a Fishing weekend though there is occasional partaking of a sip or two

some logistics;

Our ferry departs New Bedford at 10AM on Friday and we depart from Cuttyhunk at 11AM on Sunday, so you can be home for the end of father's day....

some advice;

If you are not up to some serious walking on unstable rocks, you are not going to be able to access half the island. That said, there is still excellent fishing just below the club. But be prepared to do some walking. Not to scare anyone off, but it is what it is.

If you haven't done the S-B Cutty Tour, it's even better than you've read it is. You're even at a greater advantage than the original group, you'll be going over there with people that have already done it, that know the short cuts to certain spots, have experience with the geography etc//. Definately a "must do" for any striper addict. It's a memory you won't forget.

~ Imagine being able to hang around with a bunch of guys, (as women have not attended one yet to my knowledge) who enjoy the same pass-timez that you do ~ Imagine sharing "tips" or "good habits" with someone face to face with hands on experience ~ Imagine that anytime you decide to go fishing during those days, someone else will also be fishing, someone you can ask... "how-dya do ?"...and you will get an honest answer, where and on what ~ Imagine someone walking into the club as you head out and they advise you where /to or not/ go, and why - just before you start to head that way ~ Imagine someone "walkie/talkie-ing" you or your group to tell you it's ON and to hurry your over-there ~ Imagine being tired for whatever reason, and you just want to hang out at the club for awhile, you WON'T be alone ~ Now imagine that while during all that time, you're enjoying some very different types of couzine, some traditional....some not, but all deliciously tasteful ~ Imagine having most of the requests in the "What do you want on a fishing site?" ........all answered and taught in one weekend ~ Imagine being on one of Gosnold's remote islands with someone from this board who you despise, and there's no-one else around ~ ~

Can I offer just one bit of advice.............?>??????/>

BRING THE FRESHEST BUNKER YOU CAN CATCH or BUY and keep it ON ice, not in ICE water!!!!!!!

I wouldn't doubt they out produce the eels on this upcoming trip. Every big bass I've gotten so far is jacked up with pogy parts inside - the FEED is ON.................FISH ARE EVERYWHERE & so are the POGY !!!!!!!!!!!!

don't feel like i'm sperienced enuff yet, but another season in the
NShore discipline should prepare me for a fun and eventful experience

I don't know, why not? Bring a dozen snaggers with you Bee-Dawg, and let them sink real deep as the pogys around cutty swim along the bottom. Once you feel that snagger bump bottom, YANK as HARD as you can......and hold on. If you get broken off, it was probably those nasty bloofish.
