Yamalube prices?
Just got an invoice for 107.00 for a case, that is four one gallon jugs... What are you paying this year? I paid 66.00 for the same case last year.

not sure why you guys insist on using expensive oil, it's all the same with different names on it, and it will not void warranties if you use a generic, with the economy being the way it is save yourself some money

Having lost a powerhead, they only thing that saved me with Yamaha was the oil was theirs, otherwise I would have had to go try to recoup the costs from the other oil company. It is worth a few extra $

that is B.S. they could never prove that the oil was theirs and if you read the warranty they recommend using yamalube but nowhere does it say that it is required, this post was had on another forum with the same results, I am a marine tech and rebuild over 50 powerheads a year, never have I seen a motor blow up if it was using properly mixed or injected tcw3 outboard oil synthetic or not, if your dealer told you that it is required I would make them show you where it is in writing, I forget the name of the law but there is actually a law that disallows them to do that
