well fed
only 37.5 in and 25 lbs.
i was shocked to see how much she had in her - two lobsters, three macks - and she still engulfed a bomber

That's quite a feast. I wonder how long it would take a fish like that to digest it all.....then do it again.

Had one with 4 good sized crabs and a mac in her belly last night, only 33" but FAT. There is a LOT of bait around it would seem. Tasty Tasty fish!
Nice work with the bomber, btw!

even though i specialize in the little guys, they have all been fatties. i wish i could find some of the longer girls cause the girth has been there one every fish i have seen. just some disgustingly fat fish.
question to some one in the know.. with fish this well fed so early (theyve been fat since last month here) in the season, whats the expected growth over the summer? just curious. cause generally with cold blooded creatures food availability is a huge factor in growth time. (aka will 28s be coming back as 30-32s? or just hideously beefy 29-30's) either way... fall should have some disgusting slobs. (if they can keep at it)

You know, people scoffed at me on line here the last few years when I told them that back in the day on Monomoy any 36 inch fish we caught weighed around 25 pounds. Stiffy knows, he experienced it too.
Thanks for posting this, it validates what some of the newer heroes thought impossible.
Nice fish, had the munchies bad didn't it?

I still don't believe you Steve...
What a pig.
I had one had 2 14 inch weakies in it's stomach and a treble hook lodged in it's throat still tried to eat the 7 inch rubber shad.Te treble hook had a screw eye attached to it.I had a canal fish that had 2 large lobby's in it's gut.One went 1 lb and the other 1.5 and they where red.Folks I had talked to on this say the stomach acids cook em red.
Looks like the stomach acid was doing double time on that fish.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

is it wrong to look at the partially digested contents of a stripers gut and get hungry? The life of a striper aint too bad unless you end up in a picture.
