Cool This Is So Gaff!!!

I left my gaff hook out on the rocks and lost it last week. It made me realize that I never liked carrying that thing around with me and there might be something better out there. Any thoughts?? Does anyone make a foldable or telliscopic gaff??

might get you out of the water, or let you hold on till some help arrives.

Bill I make my own short 8" handle, cork or urathane tape grip and a hook might need a leash for the rocks. surg. tube safety cover for the point

The short gaff does seem like a good thing to have. I was thinking of trying something with the butt end of a heavy two piece rod, next time I see one that is junk. I'll take off the reel seat and epoxy a hook in the narrow end.The one I had seemed too cumbersome, too thick to carry in the same hand as my rod.
