welcome to s-b
I fish the backside of cranes alot. I like either side of high when fishing over there. as with any place look for the birds. up until this last batch of rainy weather, there was tons of bait still in the area. I've only had small fish over there this year. I think the offshore bait is still keeping the bigger fish out of reach without a boat.

I could be wrong though. that's the great thing about fishing and why I think (now) it's silly to look at forum reports and use it as your stradegy. What you see now will most likely not be what you see when you get out there. Fish move. So should you Use what you know or experiment with what you don't. It's all good.

Good luck.

Do what the other guys said and get a permit first to park. Also best would be to study that beach at low tide. If I remember correctly the sand itself was full of ridges and holes at low. Good place to start at night. I remember swimming in the summer there and I had my first experience with a large striper when it swam right by me. Scared the crap out of me.
