Block Lodging
I am going to have some time off in the middle of Sept and was going to fish block.
Any suggestions on a no frills place for mid week sleep in between fishing?

One time I left my waders on the floor of the Twin Maples went to sleep, went fishing again. I felt kind of itchy in my waders while I was fishing, I figured maybe they were damp inside. So when I went back I took off my waders and went to turn them inside out to dry and about five earwigs crawled out.
But it's not a bad place and they have kitchens. Just don't leave your waders on the floor for too long.

The Gables is a great place for fisherman but my favorite place on the island is the Neptune House which is also located close to Club Soda. The Neptune house is probably booked though.

DITTO on the Neptune house. Stayed there for many years. Stopped going to the Blcok a few years ago as it's just not what it was in the 80's.

Did a week there. Everything you need and nothing you don't. I'd stay there again no problem.
