Although the marriage puts a small crimp in the fishing...its when the kids arrive that throws the monkey wrench into it
Wifeys are usually pretty understanding....until you head out the door whistling a happy tune while she's stuck at home tending to Diaper Duty and the 4 am feeding.
The way we worked it in my house was she gives me 6 months (May through October) and I give her 6 months.....Once November 1 arrives I pack it up till next year. Works pretty well, she doesn't say boo to me when I go during my 6 months.....then again too my kids are older now
The secret is how I managed to convince her that Smelt fishing, Ice Fishing and Trout season don't count
Stich-n-Bitch  ....thats a classic

I agree TDF...the kids do change things a lot....My wife is so understanding of me going out. We have a two year old daughter and my conscience does get to me pretty hard though. I try to go out only after she goes to bed. Things may change some with the arrival of our second daughter within the next few weeks....I can see myself packing it up for the year when we're blessed with her arrival. I have a feeling the decksweeper house is going to be a little crazy for the rest of the year.

WELL DONE, Bossman!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and MOST Definitely does the fishing window
get severely minimized by the birth of children.
wouldn't have it any other way, just means fishing while
she's sleeping, and sleep depriving while she's awake.
the bride helps out by giving me sum New Moons, but
there's always the trade off. sacrificed July and Aug's New's
for Sept and Oct's. Saturdays are Daddy-Daughter Days around
our house, and the BEST Day of the week for me!!
They posted the updates from last week, looks like we tied up second place unless Team #^^^^&'s did something big the last week of the tourney.
Solid effort, guys  . We'll get them next year.
