7200 no bearings ,bushings..lighter side plates...5.3:1 cost say $150.00
7000cl bg 3 bearings (i think one is in handle ,check)..Heavy side plates (i think it adds to overall strength of reel) Same 5.3:1 cost $179.00
you know I have the 7200 but I'm hot rodding it because my boat reels have bushings and I don't like that...sooooo $150.00,,,,$40.00 for ceramics,,,,,$10.00 rocket fuel...see whats happening here ? and I still don't have that bearing in the handle..Now that I started it I'm gonna finish it...mags whatever tricks I can throw at it..I want it to backlash when I fart...I'll have one hot rod reel...But I think Bang for Buck the bg7000cl takes it..

thanks for info Guys and taggage Bastage:P Nice to C U here. nice mellow site here.
P.S. I know nothing and like it that way
well John U got ripped for a reel May the bassturd die slow for that .
gear stealing or any stealing is a no go in My Book.
Fishhy weepoo wee poo sending Me a 7200 with bearings.
I got a old red 7000 that has bearings in it. I yellow fuled them.
and its spins awsome, gee I wonder why. Hi wee wee.
I need a set of abec 7s actually if any one orders any I would like to jump in with Ya
I got a 7000 CL in the mail I yellow fuled them bearings. but the ones in the 7000 spin faster. I need a pawl and might as well swap out the worm gear while Im at it. so 3 reels 1 can Be a back up. Plus My 4 squidders I swap out on the rod and got another 136 2F to cut down. this is an awsome wood and herring stick :th:
But I put my 6500 on it and it feels wierd.
so the 6500 go on others like a 1322. I put My ct mag on that. its tricked out with all the goodies
Ya know what is not a bad reel is the 6500 I forget the numba But it has the bearings in the level wind and a thumb push thingie to put it in free spool, It reminds Me on the calcutta and it has mag control
I got a 6500 big game non level wind, its so fast it backlashes just looking at it
Im going to use that on the 1322 with a cast master. when I got to go far. Right Ben.
remember that
ppppppppppffffffffffttttttt %$@#$!Q%^

I just looked at the schematic on my 7200. It does have one bearing in it as is---atop the drag stack in the drive train, part# 21601. So if you replace the bushings, it's the same as a 7500C3 and about the same price.
Still, I probably should have done the BG7000CL too. Oh well, maybe next year. I killed my bronze 7000C3 so the 7200 takes its place in the line-up.
