S-B Winter Stuff - Looking for ideas
OK, Looking for ideas on Winter Stuff to do on S-B as well as start talking dates for our Winter stuff.
Ideas: Well, we have Plugfest and Too Friekin Cold Too Fish Night as established, ehmm, events
But also looking for something new or something we haven't done in a while. In the past we also had a Rod Building clinic that got a few people started building rods but even further back, we had a "Reel Party" where a bunch got together and went through cleaning and overhauling reels. So what other ideas would work? Should we do the Reel and/or Rod Parties? Ice fishing? Too ^#%^&$ Cold

best trip we ever took was to the horse races on a bus that had a keg of beer...
i can do without the horse race, but being on a bus drinking beer in a group...was the funnest thing ever
it was a double decker bus too...
probably would not fly here... too conservative...

Ice Fishing That would be a blast....setup grills on the Ice, have a nice barrel fire going on the shore, hot chocolate for the kids, hot chocolate and Coffee Brandy for the adults.

Only if it's Allen's Coffee brandy your serving, Ice fishing would be an awesome idea, I think we should run with it.

Smelt trip sounds like fun. Maybe we could combine it with a charter bus and a keg of beer? Make the ride up to ME a lot more enjoyable.

Ice fishing tourny. 1 plug per entry. Biggest fish takes the plugs.

Since I bet most of us are lean on cash, but long on fishing gear, how about a tackle swap?

Hey, how about reviving the old S-B Stool Diving Championships at the Bloooberry Factory
Ya know, I'm starting to wonder if the Iron One hasn't finally been domesticated from what I've seen lately -
I think the title could be up for grabs

Maybe an Iron Chef Bombas vs. Select SB Team Faceoff (these are fun, ask the bossman)
I also like the idea of the tackle swap

How about a leadfest at a mutual agreed location with a garage or carport for cover. If planned ahead will allow us to gather the mols, hooks and lead, etc.
