Tog Rumor Control

I dunno, rumor has it that somebody boinked a 15# blackfish on the reef in the last several days.....

Anybody know who the perpetrator was?

Uncle Crafty has his suspicions...c'mon, fess up...

Well, my first hunch was wrong, then

I had Tautog01 as the prime suspect -

Maybe Professor O'Nitis knows...gotta call him anyway...I can always count on the good doctor for the straight poop.

I fished out front on Monday and saw no boats at the reef. There were a couple at the #2 bouy but not many out at all.
If they fished the reef yesterday they are a better man than me. There was no reports of any large Togs caught on the radio Mon.
Hopefully it stays good until the close of the season on the 15th.

Uhhh...with all due respect, I'm gonna put my money on Tautog01 in that contest.

Not many people would bet against youth and skill, but I think the smart money is gonna be on old age, experience and maybe a little treachery

In fact, I'll bet a steaming kettle of Drunken Blackfish Stew on it for the next meeting.

And I might as well confess - that recipe is actually Uncle Ed's Extra Dry Chowder -

I had to pry it outta him by bartering Mrs Crafty's smoked bluefish pate recipe - and that has never been given to anyone.

It actually took me many years to beat my father's best so if you have to pass the torch keep it in the family. Time will tell( I also have the benefit of putting more time on the water than others.)

Chuck,
Now if your talking 1.5# - then I'll have to fess up

Sea was REALLY BIG yesterday evening after work. Can't imagine too many boats out there yesterday. Water clarity might take a few days to settle on the outside - hopefully I can pick up some bait and try it the next few days on the inside.
