It's that time of the year again -- time to re-spool my reels for the upcoming season. I was curious as to what most people are/would use for the following reels. I fish mainly blues/stripers off my boat. I am curious as to brands people prefer, colors, tests, low memory, sensitivity, etc. Here goes:

1. Shimano Calcutta 700: used mainly as a baitcaster with occasional light, early/mid season trolling. Hooked up mainly to a 6'7" St. Croix three piece.

2. Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000C3: used mainly as a baitcaster with occasional light, early/mid season trolling. Usually hooked up to a 7' St. Croix baitcaster.

3. Shimano Baitrunner 4500: used only as a baitrunner spinning reel.

Thanks....

Good day!!
I use basicly 50lb. berkly main line and 40lb flourocarbon leaders with my penn 850s &950s spinning reels.

For cod fishing i use 50-80lb dacron with 100lb mono with penn 113 reels.

Fly fishing i use #10 weight sage flyrod with Orivis depth charge line mostly and I use an intermediate clear line and only once in awhile use a floating line .
