Key West for a week!

Heading down for a week. Actually a small island near Key West. Got some good advice from people on this board about fishing down there. Sent ahead a fly set up, a spinning set up and tackle. One day will take a guide. Rest of the time hope to just chuck around the rocks and docks and see if I can't scare up a barracuda or something. My 16 yo son is more excited about the fishing than me (if that's possible). Thanks again for the advice....I'll let you know if I got anything.

bring a stout rod and liveline pinfish off the bridges for Tarpon and Barracuda. just make sure you have a plan in place as to how you're going to land them. or you can you use shrimp and catch snapper and a host of other fish, many you can use as bait for the larger species. there are some nice flats around there too that you can wade from shore for bonefish or anything else that might cruise by but you have to do some searching...
