Ethanol Fuel
Where in Rhode Island can I find ethanol free gas? Do any of the gas stations sell it, or what about the fuel docks at the marinas, do they have ethanol free gas? Fueled up at gas station while trailered to ramp, now it runs rougher and hard to start. Please help......
Thanks

Westerly airport where you can get 100LL if they'll sell it to you at around $4.28/gallon. Make sure your motor doesn't have a problem with lead.

Unless you have a fiberglass gas tank, I don't think you should be having a problem. I have run the ethanol crap for 4 years without a problem. Maybe your fuel/water separator is fouled.

Thanks you. I'll check the tank, maybe it's just that it was empty all winter and got condensation in the tank or fuel bowl in the carburetor.
It ran great, yesterday once I started it, for an hour or so, then at slow trolling speed, she stalled and wouldn't start without starter fluid. Of course my can was empty and I had to use the fuel line to squirt some in the intake of the carburetors, then once she started I headed home, as I had my 2 daughters with me and didn't want to get broke down with them in the boat.
Thanks again for your help.

Had a similar problem over a couple of years with some crappy plastic fuel tanks.
Try this:
Buy some cheap filters (I used sierras) b/c you'll be going through a few.
Add some Starbrite tank cleaner.
Run some gas through and check your filter; it probably has some water, particles and varnish in it. Keep repeating, and after two tanks (50gal) and 4 filters I was golden.
