Not yet but I just watched Versus w/the guys on the Vineyard Striper fishing with cut pogies and they made it look easy using them to remove the hook. I just might have to buy one.

I think it's the law in FLA to have these onboard, just a matter of time before it's law here. But $70 for a small piece of metal, you'd think it was brought to you by the makers of florocarbon, another insanely expensive product.

I saw the 16" model for $18.50. Would be good for blues and dogfish too. I lost that much $ in terminal tackle last year. Might check out the Boater's World going out of business sale..

I use one for shark fishing, works well. Last year I arrranged a deal where anyone who mentioned my name could get a 10% discount if they bought directly from the Mfg. I don't kow if they will still honor that, but I won't hurt to ask.

Got one at Boater's World. It was 10% off. Waiting for a few days for higher discounts to kick in for other stuff. Currently at 10-30 off store-wide. Inventory was decent.

There good for single hooks but not for plugs or even sluggos with two hooks. You have to get it right on the hook for it to work right. Usually that isn't much of a problem because deep hooking usually involve single hooks rather then plugs. At least for me I find that you need to use both hands, at least getting set. Works best if your holding the line tight when you push. That means no hand to hold the fish.

I got all the stainless I need and a machine shop I run at work, so I am going to copy one and make a few sizes for myself.
I heard they really do work well. I want a tuna size one that can reach way into the water for quick release.

cabelas had a huge one on a 8 or 9 foot pole. Pretty expensive but seemed like a good idea for when you have those big sharks boatside.
