sabiki rig size question

I'm about to put in an order for some supplies for the upcoming season and I wanted to pick up a few sabikis.

I want to give live-lining some more time this season and was curious as to what the best sizes (hook size) for herring and mackerel. And any preferences to colors, etc. for each.

Thanks for your help.

SM:

I found some heavy ones with about 17 lb test (or close).
i like those for the macks cause' when there a 3-5 on there, the
lighter ones are history.

the lighter ones with 6-10 lb I tried for the herring, and if i ever find them (herring) from the boat, it should be heavy enough.

Won't be long now !!!!!

I like the heavier line too, I find sabikis are the best for Mack's, but they catch evething else that swims. I haven't targeted strickly herring with them, but I might try some piers in my area this year with small trout hooks and bits of clam or some kind of bait.
