MacoJoe, I went to WH last weekend. There are sandeels, baitfish, minnow, tiny baby squids. Kinda early now, but I will check it out soon.

i saw 16 boats jiggin on wed and 10 boats draggig ....so i'd say there in a little....

Nice...they have been around like that in small numbers for a week or so out here, no one is even trying it seems, they are still a little finicky. I went a few nights ago in the cold wet windy conditions and they didn't show. If I felt better I would go again tonight but I am fighting a cold and feel like crap.

My wife has been after me to catch some fresh ones to eat...I am looking for my fluke bait. These squid do taste excellent when they are so fresh, there is a huge difference between several hours old and what you get in the market.

that's true. im goign at them again for fluke baits.

went to one spot last night, nothing happening. relocated and saw a few caught, seemed the people snagging them were doing better than than us with the jigs. real slow fishing.
