The fish were there, the bait was there, but for some reason they were picky.
Had the same thing happen to me today.....I saw 1 fish caught today....between me and 250 of my closest friends....I love fishing 5 feet from another guy.

Nice job guys. Man that must have been a tiring walk.

I've always thought about how much heavier a fish feels when fighting it in the "Big River" when the waters' ripping? You know, does a 20 feel like a 28....does a 30 feel like a 41?....this is hypothetical of course, every fish can fight differently...some times small fish fight more...but with a bigger fish having more mass etc/etc/...lotta variables to consider...

What do you think?...........

I think that the fish I caught felt like a 55 gallon drum of crap. I never expected to land it, but was finally able to get her to budge off of the bottom.

I don't care who you are, that's a nice morning right there...

Way to go men...

Dammit, shoulda called Uncle Joe Jude last nite to take a spin over yonder early this AM....

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Nice! I have been across they way. The hardest part is trying to figure where to fish without a crowd and be into the fish. I'll be makeing a guess tomorrow morning along with a few thousand of my closest friends.
