If I lived in Mass I would think about getting a mailing address in RI and register it here. Several places like mailboxes etc, give you an actual physical address vice a PO box.

I and under 12 also.

Don't know about the trailer DOT tag. Although the state of some boat trailers is scary. It might be a good thing.

It also then should able to rec trailers of any type.

What trailers for hauling boats under 21 feet have brakes?

It's crazy and seems short sighted

I heard this today. I have not vetted this information yet but the guy that told me this was told this when he had all his trailers inspected recently...after getting a ridiculous ticket for no trailer inspection sticker on the trailer.

Effective 1/2010 if you drive any diesel vehicle with a trailer and vehicle GVW of 13,000 lbs combined weight and over in Massachusetts you are #1 required to have a commercial inspection done on the trailer and #2 will be required to have DOT numbers on the vehicle and #3 means you will have to have a DOT Medical card. Fire extinguisher, road flares, hazard signs, wheel chocks for every axle, etc etc.

Also this current trailer inspection sticker bull%$%$%$%$ will now include all boat trailers.

Any Gas vehicle over 8600 gvw will require a DOT medical card also.

EFFIN BULL%$%$%$%$

BTW if you got a small boat with a little trailer now it means you HAVE to have brakes on the trailer no matter what or they won't pass you. Reject sticker and your off the road.

HERE'S THE BEST PART.

There is no SET price for this sticker. You have to make an appointment with a COMMERCIAL motor vehicle inspection station and you pay their shop wages whatever it takes for time to do the inspection.

Like I said EFFIN BULL@#$!@#$@

If anyone has any more information on this please post here.
Wow just wow that is a total rip off.
