T- what is a yo-yo rod? Is this a jigging rod?
I am looking for a glass or composite rod for bank, brdge embankment, inlet perching, pier and bulkhead fishing.
What is the action and real weight rate? Sweet spot?
How much shipping to 10579?
Thanks.

Yo-yoing is jigging a pogy that has been rigged with weights to get it down to the bottom, and some sort of stiffener give it the proper motion. You could use this rod for your needs, I'm pretty sure.

Pretty soft slow action blank. I'd say about 3oz sweet spot, wish I knew blank #. No idea on shipping.

If the the blank is black its likely a Lamiglas BBT96 3M if it was built by Roy. It looks like one of his rods from the pics.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

What Back Beach said. Roy built those rods for fishing pogy chunks in the canal. Altough slow action they have plenty of power.
