Pretty cool
I havent been able to get out much the last 3 weeks, some bad things going on in my life that havent allowed much free time and I really havent been in the mood to fish.
My wife pushed me to go July 4th, I left the dock at 8pm with a bucket of eels that were a light grey from sitting in the water for 3 weeks at the dock. Around 9:00 or so the fireworks started. From the area in the bay I was fishing, I counted 8 different town fireworks at once. It was an amazing view. I was wondering if the noise would spook the fish. I found out a few minutes later. My drift was perfect along a rocky shoreline as the tide dropped. In the midst of the fireworks I got a 22lb fish. For the next 2 hours, I landed 4 bass, 22-27lbs. They were ferociously hitting the eels. All fish were loaded with sea lice, Im guessing they just moved into the bay. I gut hooked a 24lb and kept it. Fried some up for dinner tonight. Never watched fireworks and caught fish before. I left at 11:30 pm, the wind changed and was blowing me into the rocks, fish were still there. Great night and really cleared my head.

Awesome report! Goes 180 degrees from Clammer's fishing and fireworks theory!

I've heard that Stripers love thunderstorms... why would fireworks be any different?
Jim, I'm glad you got out and into some good fish. Here's hoping for better days in the near future.

Good for you Jim. I can empathize with your situation, fishing always makes it seem better.

Good for you, Jim. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy yourself with the distraction of fishing and fireworks. I hope things are getting better for you. If you want to make a quick surf trip after work any night, let me know.
