Congrats indeed! That 64" fish won Rick and Eric both the Maddie's Anglers Tuna Tourney and the Stoddard Tuna Tourney! (So I'm hoping you were in the calcutta.......)

That sucks....sounds like something I would do if I were to ever win something.
Well...at least you can milk the fiscally responsible husband/father gig with Julie given that you have a three month old at home! "Honey, see...I was thinking of you and the kids. Look at the money I saved going tuna fishing!"

Chalk up another for Sunday @ NW corner...and 1st tuna for the boat and anglers on our 2nd trip! Now we know what all the hoopla is about! A brutal fight on a stand-up 50 that ripped off line @ 20 lb. drag like it was in free spool in a couple of killer runs then had the fish countinuously trying to circle and go under the the boat. Approx. 63" Sorry no digital pic's.
Landed by my brother in his 23 ft. Seacraft with me at the helm and his boy Dave doing a great 1st mate job clearing the decks and readying the stick and gaffs. We actually had almost simultaneous smashes at live pogies...his hooked up, mine a miss. Next time my turn.

There isn't another high that compares to the 1st tuna boated!
(but I'm sure others will chime in with their highs)
Congrats

Congrats. We tried all day with sluggos and had some aggressive fish breaking all around us.
Not a sniff.
These fish are going to drive me to alcoholism.

One of my co-workers brother landed and sold one yesterday that he expects to get about $4,000.00 for in the next few days. He fishes out of Deluxbury Harbor.
