Spoke with a man who was beside the man who caught it and he said it was unbelievable. It was very long with a huge head.

Only downside is that it knocked Sandman off the leaderboard....

Keith is the fishing man. That will be pretty hard to beat from shore. Congrats.

Paul, I deleted my post as it was a dupe of the post by the author of the blog himself. Also the author of The Big One, which I hope to get my hands on before I head over on the 4th. Paul, make sure you find me at the Shack when you get over there. We'll exchange cell numbers via PM before then, OK?
That thing looks like a different species, it's so big....

most definitely Ross. I still need to find out exactly when Peter is going over and how long he will allow me to stay before I wear out my welcome.

Aww...Patrick, y r making me misty...LOL.
Thx for the kind words guys. Just got lucky. No reason on earth that fish should've been in there, and could've been any one of the 10 guys casting along there. Just lucky it chose me.
Sorry I won't see you guys down there this year. Go get 'em. Hope you catch a 2nd place Albie LOL
Oh, and I wouldn't worry too much about Sandman. He's a hell of a fisherman...probably forgotten more about fishing than I've learned. I'd expect to see him in the top finishers for shore bass this year.

the full moon looks orange sometimes when it rises because the light has to pass through more of the atmosphere then when the moon is higher in the sky. the blue light waves scatter but the red light waves pass through...... if you were wondering.

Less than 72 hours and pre astronaught training has begun.
I just spent 4 hours sorting, organizing, rigging and in general getting the rubber ready. Spooled a couple rods with new braid and or mono this morning.
Friday after morning coffee I will break out the wood...sorting and choosing every plug that will make the trip.
I have sOOOOOOO much to do...
Aquarium is cleaned and ready...compressor is oiled...coolers are....well need to be rinsed...%$%$%$%$...i gotta go back to work
damn i am ready

If you have always wanted to go fish the Derby.... I know a place that has room/food at a very reasonable rate for this week, 9/27-10/4..... Might also be a single spot available for the following week too..... PM me if you have serious interest. (I will be there 10/4-10/11)
