Started catching stripers on March 23,please don't ask for location,my life(haha) and all my fishing gear would be in great jeopardy.Total as of today is 24 stripers with 1 keeper at 30".
Keeper was only fish caught on March 31 and I haven't been back to the hole since.

I got my first today on my first trip of the year - about a 6 pounder where addicted got his.... Had the place all to myself - was getting a ton of bumps (well - OK maybe not a ton), varied retireve, depth, speed - still bumps. Switch to salt & peppah, first cast. Too big of a fish to lift up with rod so I went down to get it... Couple minutes later start casting again - nada for the next half hour...

Saw this post on another board:

4/02/03
Launched from keyport NJ municipal ramp and took a 20 minute paddle to Pebble beach in my Tarpon (against wind and tide, it only took 10 minutes to get back). I trolled a black bomber on the way and picked up the 23 inch striper as soon as I got close to Pebble Beach. There was a ton of guys on the beach, so there must have been some recent action. Trolled for another two hours and did not get another hit. I didn't see anyone on shore catch anything but heard alot of choice comments when I landed my fish (I think I converted a couple of shore fisherman to the Dark Side) Lost my only Tube and Worm on sunday in Cheesequake Creek and waiting for new ones to be delivered. Decided to try the Bomber (Black) after hearing reports of bunker in the bay. Be sure to wear wet suit and or wader/dry top water very cold . Released the striper to afraid to eat it after sewage incident.
