Reading the Water

I Just got my copy of this book, & I can't wait to read it!

I just glanced at the first couple of pages which was my 1st mistake!...

Now I want to dive in!

There is another one on Amazon in brand new condition (Hardcover) for just under 100.00 if anyone is interested!

That is a good price I paid about 140 or so late last fall. I saw a couple sell at 200+. Since I have paid 150+ for text books...I justified it that way

I liked reading the stories from all the oldtimers, the format was refreshing from all the direct how-to's out there. The how-to's were in there just weaved into the stories. Perhaps someone will do reading the water part II on this generation of fisherman...

It was not my all time favorite but it was up there.

yeah but mine has a personal message from post that says..."hugs and kisses, Love Bob" with a cute little fish stamp. So that has got to be worth something!!!

I have looked a couple times on ebay and never saw it listed and eventually broke down and bought it from a used bookstore in MD. Good find!

yeah, i've been watching ebay for the book for some time. there was an autographed copy that was sold about 2 weeks ago that went for around $145! i wanted that one, but wasn't willing to go so high for a book i hadn't even seen before. i got lucky with the copy i bought as i knew the seller and he threw in a reverse atom for me. ya gotta love that!

Congrats on the book Bruce!

I'm glad you swiped it when you did! That was a sweet price for a hardcover copy in mint condition!!!

I started the book last night, and it was as though I was there fishing with these guys!...

I was in the bidding on the signed one too Toby, but the cost went up too high... not only that, it was shipping from the UK, so the cost was much higher than the final cost of the book!

This offers a way of escape until the Bass arrive!!!

I'll be back with you soon Bruce on what we had discussed a couple of weeks ago...

The anticipation of this coming season is killing me!...

Toby, how did things go last night?...

I decided to stay back to watch the kids while my wife went to see Tim McGraw at the Fleet Center...

This way, I am owed some time out when the Bass arrive!

Don - it went very good, in my opinion. we actually ran out of time and didn't get to a few points. it was well attended, 95+ people! it was our biggest meeting ever. now i really have to get out and fish. talking about fishing made me need to fish even more now!
