Flaptails
Had some time with the recent snow here to get some stuff finished up. Never saw snow like I have in the past 5 days. We have almost 4 feet of it on the ground. Was up to the door knob on my back door this morning. These are bigger than the others I posted. They are 6" and 2.4 oz from red cedar.
The little guy is 4" and 1.25. Undecided if I am going to tie a single hook feathered tail for it and get rid of the flaptail or keep it as is.

I have never fished or even seen an original of any type so I am just going on how I fish them. I have made a bunch and fished them in both fresh and salt water. I fished some bigger ones than these last spring in the canal and did just as well as I was doing fishing a spook. These are not the best casting lure but not real bad either. I have mine tail weighted but not as much as say a pencil. They sit flatter. I have had good luck in freshwater with some scaled down ones with both largemouth and smallmouth and the pickeral really like them.

Nice lookers Greek, great paint colors. I like the mini squid. I did 2 mini needles a few years ago. 1 skinned and the other with a super long tail.
