Finished Conversion

I was able to finish the conversion of my V20 wellcraft this week. All I have to do is hang the motor. The new steering system and Shift & Throttle cables will be here next week. I will be ready for the water in two weeks!!

AHHHH!!! I like it!!! That's really going to improve your ride. You should post and update on the Wellcraft site too. They'd love to see it.
What are your plans for the deck? Maybe a good place for a fish hold/livewell?

Thanks BigBo I can't figure out how to post a pic on the wellcraft site??
As for the deck thatis what it is. I have two fish tanks in the floor that will hola about 80 pounds of fish and 20 pounds of Ice. So I can hold a total of 160 # fish with 40# of Ice on them.
Now I have a hole were the engin use to be. I am going to run it with the old engin cover this year. But will get rid of the cover in the fall and glass over the hole.
I am thinking of putting another fish hold or bait tank but I need to see how this boat is going to ride with all that weight back there. I took out 500# and I am putting back 500# but it is now 28" behind the boat instead of in the boat. So this is going to change things.
I might have to put some trim tabs on it to keep the bow down. I notice that all the out boards V20's don't have fish boxs in them because there gas tank is in the middle of the boat to balance the weight of the motor. I have my gas tanks in the sides because the motor was in the boat. So I think I might be to havey in the rear will have to weight and see.
I got the Shift cables today so I am going to start installing the controls tomorrow.

Well if nothing else, you'll probably at least want a hatch there for bilge access. You're probably right about maybe needing the trim tabs. My V20 CC has two hatches in the rear cockpit right in front of the motor well. One is really just for bilge access, the other has a liner and drains overboard.
As for posting pics on the Wellcraft site, Tim posted instructions on how to do it. You just need to have the pics on a web photo host site like Fishingworks.com and attach the URL. or you can send the pics to BigShrimpin there and he'll post them for you.
That's going to give you a lot more room in the cockpit.
