RIP Buddy
On tuesday, i lost my first dog, he was only 9 and it was totally sudden and unexpected. He was an incredible boy and i'm going to miss him so much. I got him in college and after graduation i moved home and he became my retired fathers dog. The two of them were inseperable. My father who is 75 is absolutely devistated, buddy was his best friend in the world. That dog even went to the dentist with him.
On monday he collapsed and our house sitter took him to an emergency clinic where they found he had cancer around his heart that had started to bleed. It was so agressive that there was nothing they could do. They drained the blood and he was back to his old self but the vet said it could last a couple hours or weeks but that the end was near. My parents flew back from vacation in florida, i took a red eye back from california and tuesday when my father and i went to see him, he had already taken a turn for the worst.
My father and i watched him die on a table while the vet rushed to administer the drugs that would take the pain away.
Tuesday was one of the worst days of my life. I feel so bad for my father... it just sucks.

Sorry for the lose of a good friend and family member. DAMN cancer! We lost our dog (12 year old) 1 year ago due to cancer and still miss him.

I went through the same thing sixteen months ago with m y golden. Same exact problem it sounds like. Breathing became labored and so on. Wife said she was having trouble breathing and you know the rest. My condolences. We had Minnie cremated and I walk by and tap the box once a day.

that's SAD to hear....I'm very Sorry for your LOSS
unfortunately with the life SPAN being so short with dogs
owning one or having one in the Family eventually it's going to happen.
You miss hearing the sounds they make like walking on the kitchen linoleum
that click click that their nails make....
and the companionship is unrivalled ....people get closer to them than HUMANS
....i've experienced the devastation.

Sorry for your loss. I still tear up when I think of my best friend. She has been gone for some time. I have a new best friend now. I wish I could be half the man she thinks I am!

Sorry to hear this. It sux to lose a pet as they are part of the family.
I had to put zack down 7 weeks ago. He was 14 and we had him since he was a pup. I relive that day every few days. Could have knocked me over with a feather right after I did it. Hardest thing I ever had to do.
