October 8th weekend 2010

S-B Fall Cuttyhunk Trip. Anyone interested? We have the whole Cuttyhunk Fishing Club. It is Columbus Day weekend.... but I believe the new moon is on the 7th. I have this penciled in, but I will need to get back to her...

You guys need to make sure you register for the hab's tourney if you're going over there. It should be that weekend.

Hello to all-
Due to a very nasty infection from a cat bite, I'm sidelined for a while and have to drop out from the Fall trip. I'm seriously bummed but have to take care of this.
I'm wishing all of you going primo conditions and tight lines. See you in the late season I hope.
Mark

Just a holiday bump.... Columbus Day weekend seems a long ways away, so might be a good time to put out the feelers to the family or better half over the barbeque if you need to get your passcard......

No deposits this time around...too much work on my end durting fishing season.

Probably me plus one. Number two son should be deeply engaged in his last semester studies, but number one son will probably make the trip.

Take it from someone who spends a lot of time over there. By October the fish have for the most part moved on from there and the weather is a BIG crap shoot.....Past 3 years has been dead that time of year and this year the fishing is even worse than it was last year at this time which doesn't bode well....I'd look to the block if I were you folks.......

Yes. Open to S-B members in good standing, with first openings to past trip participants. That is closing on Saturday. So on Sunday, I will know how many beds are available on a first come first serve basis. Two night trip runs around 300-340 bucks with parking, ferry, food share, and cost of your bed at the club. Eels are extra....

Note: You must be in reasonably good shape to access most of the island and take advantage of the jewels there. The walking is tough. Constantly moving rock underfoot, some the size of bowling balls. Just a fair warning.

By the looked of this thread you guys better start making your ferry reservations for the Block. Looks like there will be 200,000 surf guys on the Island that weekend.

RIRock, Spence and I went THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING a few years ago and we got fish. New Moon in Nov is better IMO.

I am on the Vineyard 9/26 - 10/10, if you see any fish send them my way!

the full moon looks orange sometimes when it rises because the light has to pass through more of the atmosphere then when the moon is higher in the sky. the blue light waves scatter but the red light waves pass through...... if you were wondering.
