Battle stations
I have been wrestling with stand up harnesses and I can not find one that really is ideal. They all seem to be awkward at times.
I am considering bolting on a "Battle Station" and abandoning the harnesses all together.
What to do think of these?

how ofter would it be used? That boat is to purty for that, go with a swivel rod holder and ride the gunnel like horse.

They aren't any better than the usual stand-up gear. The problem is that the angler is stuck in one place, which makes boat handling all important. At least with the harness if the guy on the wheel makes a mistake the angler can compensate for it by moving.

Just fight them out of the rod holder.

Swivel rod holder is the answer. Gives you and the angler more"wiggle" room.

That sounds like a good plan (swivel rod holder) I need a couple more on the transom gunnel anyway.
The battle station looks like a good idea but I don't like a permanent fixture in the cockpit.
