Can you import a picture like a jpg or gif and make it 3d? I haven't been able to figure it out.

Start with a wireframe based on a imported image or from the library.

you see what i am saying about it being so easy its hard? There are so little options that if you dont know every option, you will go crazy.
I have tried to use it for my glass stuff- for example, drawing a dining room and trying to place a chandelier i made in there- I pulled my hair out and ended up pulling out the colored pencils and water colors. (old school)

not my profile nebe it was drawn by someone else and he sent me the 3d file. I see what your saying though it's very friggin difficult to master this stuff.
I keep running into virtual memory crashes trying to convert this it's a huge file.

man i frigged with this thing for at least 5 hours today. That pc at the shop sucks. not enough memory. I'm running it right now at the house and it's going on about 20 minutes now at full tilt. Still working and screens are running. This is going to be something like 100,000 lines of code i'm betting.

Just saw this thread. Salty, you need real computers. Not the cheap azzed used stuff you buy from or Brian. Some great tutorlias on Youtuve. Also, look at Blender. Been teaching myself a little when I have time (I don't have any anymore)
