I went yesterday and it was a slam . . . all over some rough bottom that ate jigs like candy. That and double-headers shredding too light leaders . . . but not mine - I was using 150 pound test
We ended up getting back to the dock an hour and a half late cause we had to bob around outside the harbor while the 3 mates cut the last of the fish - took then over three hours to cut fish.
There were about 50 on the CLipper and between bodies, gear and coolers things were a little "tight" .. . Josh, George and Anthony worked their butts off gaffing, tangles and everything else . . . we had a moon tide so we had to contend with that and some tangles were inevitable but most managed OK.
Everyone that knew which end of the rod to hold had 10 + fish - mostly all in the teens - pool fish was 26 or so. All fish were on jigs and teasers - bait did nothing.
If anyone goes I recommend a long strong leader - with no teaser - you'll catch plenty of fish with the jig alone, and avoid many of the tangles adn botton obsctuctions as well. As for jigs, use the cheapest 12 - 16 ounce diamond jigs you have.
Sorry - no pictures.

Yeah, if I can weigh in on this, what's the details? Boat, Harbor, etc.?
Not sure I will be around, but used to fish a lot of pollock and if timing works right and you wouldn't mind another, would be interested in the details ... thanks

Niko,
I'm leaving this up to you. Yankee does
full day or half day apparently from
different locations. What do you
suggest?? Full day of heavy seas is
going to be rough.
