Mean People S#$K

Went in by boat house today to store something for the winter and realized that some scum bag stole my like new 9.9 four stroke Merc. outboard right off my boat. Is there a way to flag the serial number so if someone is stupid enough to try to register it it will be flagged as stolen thanks in advance.

Check with the manufacturer - more of these are scanned electronically these days so you never know. I would also check with the neighboring states. Can't hurt.

In the meantime, watch the usual suspects, craigslist, ebay, etc..

This does suck.

don't know of the WAY...sorry

but certainly providing the
Coast guard the serial number

would help (i'd ask law enforcement)

and don't underestimate the power of google either
because if someone posted the serial number on
any blog (anywhere) on the internet
google will find that conversation

Worcester sucks I live there and my business was broken into last Thanksgiving the thieves took over 25000 dollars worth of tools and a rack body with a Crane. My building now has cameras on it. The Worcester police are pretty much useless, but get the numbers reported if it goes to a pawn shop they have to hold the item for 30 days pending a check to make sure it isn't hot
