Cutting smaller hooks question

I made some smaller baits around 4". Was wondering if I could cut size 2 vmc 4x hooks? Or are they too weak to cut? I tried finding size 2 owner hooks locally but had no luck. I'm using owner hyper wire split rings on the rear hooks, but the split rings are to big to use on the belly I think. The vmc's are 9626PS, anyone cut these before? Thanks

I cut 2/0's often with no issues.

But That is irrelevant since you asked about 2's...

I make some freshwater baits for some neighbors with size 2 hooks. I cut them and they are ok. The swivels are smaller so you don't need to bend the hooks that much.
