Price of lead has increased tremendously. There are a couple of guys on E-bay that aren't too unreasonable. I'm getting mine by the 25lb bag from a guy on Long island.

Buy some molds and get an electric melting pot from Cabelas, Ebay, etc and make your own. Then ask a few plumbers to save any or sell at cost the lead the get out of jobs.
We were lucky my father somehow got a couple of sailboat keels and we cut it with a chainsaw and have lead for the future.

Buying the molds and trying to get scrap lead is probably your best bet. I have a 5lb electric melting pot if you go that route and want to borrow one instead of buying.

Jim, are you looking for a particular style or just the regular old lead bank sinkers?

in 3 hours I poured about 300 sinkers... 3-12 oz. cost me nothing but time.
Screw the little melter... get a cast iron pot, put it on a camp stove or turkey fryer, melt a ton of lead, find your groove, and make a ton... its a 2-person production though
