Not too many guy's who catch a TON of fish will post on the board and ask " Does anyone want to come along?" Search his posts and you will see... The funny thing is he catches lots of all kinds and eats none. He does it for the fun. I love it!!!!!!!!! Thanks Matt for bringing him up as it's well deserved.

I can't believe how much fishing ProfessorM does but my nomination goes to Piemma.I read his posts over the years and I am dumbfounded by his commitment to the sport. He drives a great distance regardless of the destination and has an infectious enthusiasm for striped bass fishing. He has been there and done that and remains insatiable.Put his knowledge of the sport in a bottle and it would sell.

Niko.............because he will fish:
for anything
at anytime
at anyplace
with anyone
He uses all kinds of different techniques and he is consistently good at all of them. He is not a one dimensional fisherman......

the krispy vote is tempting..
voting for a guy that is a great fish catcher is easy. there are many guys worthy of voting for just by being a genuine, nice guy, fun to talk to, and helpfulness to others when fishing on the boards. i always look for a guy that is involved in the fishery somehow and mainly the political area. it is usually a thankless job with a lot of time devotion, dealing with strong aposing viewpoints and people at times.
my vote, basic patrick. thanks for all you do for the striped bass and access.

There are a lot of great guys & Gals on this site. I vote for RoyL
He is one of the most passionate go getters out there for any species anytime and that to me is dedication. Not a bragger, just loves to share. and puts a ton of time in with the inner city kids we take out for free every season so they can get to fish for a day.
The fishing academy with John Hoffman and RoyL i think is one of the most important things we have going on for the future of our fisheries and for our children!!!!

As his partner when Paul chooses to surf fish Rhody, I'll second the nomination him when he finally retires....

DZ
I don't post much here but DZ is well deserving. He's a tireless advocate of shoreline access and striper conservation. He also teaches us his skills through seminars and magazine articles. You wont see him in the striper cup or posting new photos online but he catches his fair share of monsters each year too. He just prefers to release them.

I'd Vote Numbskull or DZ ... both conservation minded ,, both share a ton . Both highly skilled in putting life into a hunk of wood . Probably give the edge to Numby for his skill in making plugs, bags , rods., Numby is equally good as a boat fisherman as surf ..but seems to prefer surf fishing ..
