Gear to be purchased

Yep. If you know me, I make lists. Just wanted to list the gear I wanted to buy and see what improvements you would make. Looking to see where you experienced people can tell me where I can save money or where I need to spend more money or if stuff just won't work out. You know? I want you guys to comment on stuff from your experience. This is going to seem like a lot of money but this gear is going to last me for a long time. Plus, I think I'm going to be selling my St Croix/Penn6500SS combo. My finger just can't put up with the abuse of a heavy spinning rod. I have a permenant groove on my left hand that splits as soon as the line hits it and then splits as it drys out in winter.

So here is the list. Please, no wise comments. I am truly looking for your opinions.

For a Light Plugging outfit (I want to be able to toss bombers and Yo-Zuris)
GLoomis 1023S with a shimano stradic 4000. Spooled with 30lb Power Pro.

For eeling, a Lami XS9HMC with a Abu 6500 Mag CS. Spooled with 65lb powerpro. I'm not sure if I need the upgrades like Polished Abec 5s, Smoothie drag washers, high speed Stainless steel gears.

For jigging with heavy jigs and fishing medium to large plugs, A BreakAway 1266/2 with a Abu 6500TSCT. Spooled with 65lb powerpro. (This in combination with the light plugging outfit would replace my St. Croix)

For chunking bait, a Lamiglas XS12MHC with a Penn 525 Mag. Here's the kicker though. On another website, Ditch Jigger gave high marks to the Harnell/Harrington line of rods. Also, would the 525 Mag be better or should I go without the magnets with a plain old 525GS or take a trip back in time to go with a plain old squidder? This rod would probably use mono. Probably 20lb test. See I don't need a hardcore hatteras heaver but I want something with a little beef to it. Something that can throw a 4 oz sinker and bait.

So what do you guys think? I'm looking to get at least 10 or 20 years out of this gear with maintenance and all. I hope anyways. Will these outfits hold up to my needs?

How do you feel about upgrading bearings, drags and gears?

Another question. Since they are the same size and line, should I just get the Eeling and Plugging rod and switch the reel back and forth?
