Vacation Week. Taking the kids to Cape for the weekend then fishing and painting next week.

All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Played for the New Bedford PD- we sucked, but a good time- only beat Mass State Troop D......No injuries though. Headed to the dump later to throw out most of my equipement. Don't need to put up with the rotten stink all summer--new gear in fall.....At least no injuries. Fish time

I got a nice cod fillet baking on the stove and 3lbs of steamers puking in some icy saltwater.Cod first then clams later.I've been jonesing for some clams for a few weeks now.

So far this weekend I drove the kid to work and back, tried getting a 2 stroke tiller to run,got some flowers for MiL b-day and cleaned inside.Went through my fishing gear friday night.I again have no grass in the front yard and was going to till it again this year.Last year I did it with a pick axe.Not doing that again.Basically I am going to enjoy some seafood maybe mix up a strong drink and relax before I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Hey, I live in Southington, which borders Cheshire. Where you moving from? If you have kids, you could not have picked a nicer town, very family and kid-oriented. Fabulous public schools.

Local fishing is not great, but there is 1 nice thing. A spot called "The West Haven Sandbar" is a Long Island Sound spot about 10 miles from southern Cheshire. In a good year, that spot gets a decent run of spring schoolies. Amazingly, that spot also used to get a great weakfish run, there were many years where in May, you could target and catch weaks there. I believe it has peetered out as of late, however.

I have an old fishing partner from West Haven, Chet Tomkins. Chet is 83 and doesn't fish anymore but 20 years ago that was his local go to spot. He said it could get dicey if the fog rolled in.

No boat, back in the suds.

Weekend

Unpacking after getting back from awesome Caribbean cruise. I saw some of the best female bathing suits anyone ever conceived. And some really great surgical work. Food, and oh yah, my new favorite drink, a caribbean cooler, coconut rum, banana liquer, melon liquer, pinapple juice, pinapple slice, and a freikin cherry!
