Got your license yet?
Just did the deed online. Can't believe we've come to this. Now to see if the DMF actually uses the funds to improve the resources as stated on the license print out..... Another cash grab.

OK so I live in the wonderful State of Maine. The land where they can't spell reciprocity. Last year it was the Federal license. This year it's included as part of a freshwater license for both residents and non-residents. BUT, non-residents can't fish for stripers without a special adder to their license, think it's like $2 more.
The point of this post is this: since we don't share well with others, we demand y'all to get one of ours, and this means I have to get one of yours. Since your States share with each other, does that mean if I get a license in MA I can fish in RI, CT, MA, and NH now?

I am in Maine and I bought a Massachussetts license. As it stands right now they are still debating how to handle the license. Right now the most support is to have it become a free registry (LD210). But there is a chance nothing will be done and it will become more of a mess than it is.

Our state is no different they are looking for a chance to fill in budget gaps.
Probably not worth coming to Maine any more, no fish up here.

Squirrel Cops were checkin people today in my area.
$50 fine if no have.
My National license from last year doesn't expire till June. Does that mean I still need the Mass license being discussed?

Tell the squirrel cops that you left your license at home but you have one wrapped around the arbor of the reel for safe keeping. As their holding the end of the line looking for the license and your far away cut the line and screw out of there.

agreed, the buyer fills out all the information .. where's the convenience?
I'm waiting till the day I know I'm heading out, or will plead ignorance and show them my freshwater license.

I got mine online, and printed 2 copies of it and laminated it at work. I will keep one in my plug bad and one in my wallet. I hope i get checked honestly. Ive only been checked once FW fishing and once while rabbit hunting both times in Michigan. Its nice to see enforcement.

I was told from F&G that non-resident licenses are only good for the state they are issued in. Only resident licenses have reciprocity.

From the RI Saltwater Fishing Website of RIDEM.
What if I am not a RI resident, but have a license from my home state or some other state, and plan to fish in RI waters?
RI will honor any license from any state that also honors RI licenses. Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York licenses are reciprocal, and so they apply in RI waters. A list of all other reciprocal states will be provided here as soon as information on those states is collected.
I'm going to interpret that as regardless of residency, if you have a license from a reciprocal state you're good to go in RI.
