Starbucks
People that work at these places are some of the lowest scumbags on the face of the earth. Their coffee tastes like mop bucket water. Worst crap I've ever had. Maybe it's the fumes.

Aside from the areas where most people don't speak English, I've only had pleasant experiences at a Starbucks in almost any state. And I think the coffee tastes much better than the strained diarrhea they serve at Dunkin Donuts.
As to the scumbag above, they are everywhere in every field. CEO's to janitors and everyone in between have their share of scumbags. When you employ 10's of thousands of people, it's hard to filter out all the filth.

For all the reasons you gripe about D&D larry, I like starbucks. besides the fact that I like their dark roast (throw a spoon in the coffee, if it stands up, it's the way I like it). I drink coffee black.
I can't tell you how many times I would order a black coffee at D&D et al., and get sugar, or still get milk. how can you F-up BLACK COFFEE!
Never once had that happen at starbucks....

No comparison between a black coffee at Starbucks vs. the reconstituted bong water they serve at DD's.They also seem to speak fluent English at Starbucks.

That's because at SB, the people working need to understand more than 5 words to be able to take an order due to them making the beverage *exactly* the way you want it.
Not to mention the signs at every SB pick-up counter where they guarantee you're satisfied (I paraphrase): "Please taste your drink before leaving. If it is not perfect, let us know and we be sure to fix the problem and make you a new one."

Took the words right out of my mouth. Cleanliness at DD's is also a huge issue. You ever look at the uniforms on those kids and the floors in those places. I'm sure the coffee pots are just about as clean. Enjoy guys.

The true flavor of coffee is compromised when milk and sugar is added.
When drinking black coffee one can tell if it is bitter, burnt, weak, strong.
Once you acquire a taste to black coffee you will repel the taste of regular coffee. Honestly the smell of heated milk in coffee gives me that sick feeling and the sugar no better making your teeth vibrate with pain.
What next do you add milk and sugar in tea, lol ?

I used to do my language lessons at Starbucks near Brown (angel st ,not Thayer) and we switched to the Au Bon Pan instead because frankly , the Starbucks coffee tatses lousy. Yes it packs a caffeine punch but it tastes like butt wash. I would also take DD or Honey Dew coffee over Starbucks. In fact , except that we would use their table for 2 or 3 hours and felt obligated to buy something , I would prefer no coffee to Starbucks coffee.

I ordered a coffee at SB and it was horrible, the girl behind the counter said is everything ok, I said this is the most bitter coffee I've ever had.... She asked what type of coffee do I like, I said I just don't like a bitter after taste in my coffee. I handed her my already bought coffee that was full and she gave me a new coffee to try for free and after I sat down she came back with a coupon for a free coffee for my inconvenience...
Also she said, ask the people behind the counter and they will describe the best coffee for you
That's never happened at Dunkin Donuts!!!!
To bad it was in RI..... I'd go back there again...

You've just lost access to a pretty good fishing spot. And JohhnyD will never make it there after his comments.

hey to each his own here! I like starbucks a lot, if you want to be really yuppie-afied, try something brewed on their "clover" machine, THAT is good stuff and ten times better than their regular coffee.

I get my bagged starbucks at BJ's , I can grind it there and put it in the freezer.
No counter issues that way.

In about 20 minutes, you'll no longer have access to parking there.
