$100 Reward for Stolen Rod and Reel

This is the rod: 11', 1 pc, Lami with dark red wraps with black trim bands, Fuji gunmetal sic guides and a cork front grip with cork tape back grip. This blank is a light weight IM-7 GSB and is lighter in weight then the regular GSB. It also has Fibrestar Custom rods and blanks decal in front of the front grip. The reel is a drilled Penn 704z. It has been spotted twice around the Niantic/Black Point area. Call me at 860-558-8732. Tight Lines. Mike

Hope you recover it. There have been a few break ins reported around BP but I can't see someone being dumb enough to steal one and fish it - good chance someone bought it.

I think he's talking about the Black Pt. thats near Niantic, not the Rhode Island black pt.

Yeah, mine got stolen a couple of weeks ago too. Here's the reward posting.

"Rod and reel stolen at Buzzards Bay in Westport Harbor, Sturdy Stik and Shimano Baitrunner. Equipment was last seen being towed out to sea. Suspect is believed to be a 10-20 lb. striped bass. Anyone seeing a striped bass towing a rod and reel in the Buzzards Bay is authorized to take immediate action to apprehend the suspect. Should suspect resist, you should feel free to use any means necessary to arrest the suspect and place him in your cooler, er custody. Reward is one tasty striped bass dinner to person apprehending suspect."
