Cool took the boat out for a spin

to my local favorite pond...
i caught a 10+ pounder there (once)so i thought i'd go there first
the amount of weed growth was truly amazing
it's taking over the place....seems like

i had to get real creative to shed the build up of sludge
(weeds) but all in all it was a fun time

I hooked a real big bass but must have had the hook point
in his jaw and just as fast it was off again (damn)
oh i hate that feeling where ya turn your head and grit your teeth
(i sharpened the hook point afterwards)
but a second later i was hooked up AGAIN-YAY!
and brought the fish to the boat along with 20 pounds of weeds
it rapped me up good.....

then i motored down to the deeper end and tied on a clear
sluggo like rubber bait that has internal sparkles and red foil
inside as well as a realistic eye and caught a much nicer bass
soon as it hit the shady water i was casting to....

i caught one more and then decided to call it a day because
the rain i was hoping for wasn't gonna happen
and i forgot my sun block and was getting kinda burned

the winch i installed did it's job and got (dragged)
the boat back in
the van just enough that i can SHOVE it on home....
(without having to do any heavy lifting)

but the highway cone i keep on the front of the boat
for safety sake to keep some idiot from rear ending me
which would basically kill me, fell off on the way home
and retrieving it was a real pain in the ass....so next time
i screw the Son of a beach down.

Sounds like a great day! Maybe you are just a little rustier than your hooks with a big bass on the line...

Yea, but I'm so addicted....
Its never enough....
I have a 10 lb largy mounted, but I want bigger !!

Got a co-worker I took fishing a couple of times. bassin and tuna.

He lives right on big pond in Hopkington and has an aluminum boat with trolling motor..
I'm gonna get there, one of these days.

when i caught my 10+ pounder i totally stalked it

I was fishin the weeds and saw this giant swirl
instantly i knew it was a huge BASS

so, i circled around and got down wind LOL

within casting range of that location and waited almost
30 minutes before throwing the Biggest monster
blue worm i had with me dipped in power bait liquid

i put it in the exact spot like a hole in ONE
and he/she grabbed it... right away...

then it was like reeling in a log....
it was as if the thing was dead....

i layed it on top of the huge plano tackle box
and it was hanging over each side
snapped a picture and then decided to dip her back in the water
still in the net....cuz it was playing Possum....

instantly i was absolutely Soaked...
and i said: i thought so!
unhooked her and let her swim away

Saw your dingy in New Bedford/Fairhaven harbor on Wednesday. I think it could have swallowed all the local trawlers! Want to know more: http://www.expoships.com/about.html

Thumbs down boat for a spin# 2

Just got back from a sorry day on the water- major SKUNK

apparently there was an Algae bloom ...the water looks
rather like pea soup with 5,6,7, 8lb bass lining the shorelines
all belly up dead.....

the fish finder showed them (remaining fish) all hugging the bottom
at 18 feet or so and you couldn't buy a bite...

i was gonna go there Sunday but now that i see these deplorable
conditions it would be a waste of time.

a sad occurrence for sure.
