You know, I find this thread kind of interesting. It seems that there is a population of fishermen that believe the fish go to the Bahamas all Summer and suddenly show up on Labor day.

The fact of the matter is that there have been fish in RI, CT and MA all Summer. I have caught and released 30#+ fish every month since May. Some have been in my boat. None have been out side Narr Bay in the boat. A few have been from the Cape in the surf. Some have been from the Canal.

My point is that there have been fish all along the coast all Summer. There is no need to chase stupid reports and end up in a CF with a bunch of report chasers.

If you "put your time in" (old saying by old surfmen) you will get quality fish every month except Jan and Feb.

No boat, back in the suds.

Amen to that!

We've had a steady pick of fish up these parts as well, including some nice fish (not caught by me though of course). Our kayak tournament (the shootout - which is C&R) saw multiple entries of fish that were sure to be in the 30 pound plus range.
