A Day on the Water with MrMacey!

First off Thanks a bunch Mike for the day out on the water!
With everything that happened today it really didnt matter if we caught fish or not! But we Did!

Now for the story.

I met Mike at the ramp off 114 in Portsmouth at about 7:45 am.
We had decided that seeing as we were getting a late start we would target some Fluke for a change of pace.
We then headed out towards the depths in front of Elbow Ledge and Commorant Rock.
Nothing there but a jumbo scup and a small bluefish if my memory serve's me right?

We decide that we will head toward the bridges but first we weave our way through the fish traps to fish the wash along the Newport shoreline.
Fishing topwaters I get a double on the same Chug bug. One comes off en route! Thank You! Its bad enough taking one Bluefish off the plug!
Bang another! Now I am busting Mike bad at this point!

One word of warning!! If Mike says I am throwing to the white water. Be sure to grab ahold of everything you brought on the boat!!!!!

Well he says I am throwing to the white water. Next thing you know my Loomis fluke rod and my Abu Pro Rocket is in the drink!!
Amazing enough in a frantic state I hook it with my Chug Bug!!!
Boy was I lucky!!

He says " Did my sunglasses go with it?" I said no they are on your head!!!!!
He then says darn it I snapped off my Smack it!!
HEHEHEHEHE!! Now he wont catch up!!! He throws this and that while I catch a few more blues!
Wouldnt ya know it along floats his smack it! I hook it with my rod for him.
We then head towards the bridges.
Well this is long enough.
To make it short, We caught a few nice fluke, a jumbo scup, a bunch of short fluke and of course a bunch of blues.

If you get a chance to go out with Mike he will definitely make it fun!!!!

Again thanks Mike!! Next time we do it at night for some Large!!!

I am gonna chain the rods to the boat though!!!!
